The Church of St John the Evangelist, Carterton

We are part of the Benefice of Brize Norton and Carterton, you can find a link to our sister church here

Our vision is to be a growing vibrant church, rooted in Christ, that reaches out and serves the whole community.

As lockdown eases and we move towards normality, we thank you for your patience and understanding over the past year. From Palm Sunday onwards we are opening the church for socially distanced services on Sunday mornings and Thursday mornings, both at 10.30 a.m. For the time being, we will continue with our Virtual Church, broadcasting live on Facebook and Zoom. We will be posting YouTube videos, messages and sermons on this website (Click here). The Church of England also publishes daily morning and evening prayers – see the link on the right column, and there is a free telephone line where you can listen to prayers, hymns, talks and a weekly service, click here for more information. Please stay in touch and let us know if we can help in any way.

God bless, Drew, on behalf of the clergy team

Find photos of what’s going on in our Gallery. We hope you enjoy browsing around the site and we would love to welcome you at one of our services (please see our statement on being inclusive here); do come and introduce yourself.

Something to think about

A wide range of activities take place but, in the end we, like Jesus, are about people and relationships. We seek to be the best human beings that we can be and believe that this is best achieved by being disciples of Jesus Christ. We are not perfect but we are always learning. Please remember us in your prayers, as we pray for all who visit us and our website. God Bless you.
