Renewing their wedding vows<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Don and Michele celebrate 32 years of marriage by renewing their vows. This was originally planned for their 30th (pearl) anniversary but Covid and lockdown precluded this. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Full Immersion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Two members of the church asked to reaffirm their baptism vows to renew their commitment to God. They had great weather for it! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our first Repair Caf\u00e9<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We are working with the Burford Environmental Action Group to run repair caf\u00e9s with the aim of reducing our environmental impact. If we can repair things rather than throw them away we are reducing the amount of landfill. Of course we had to have cake and biscuits to keep everything running smoothly! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Good Friday Walk of Witness<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Members of the the five Carterton churches walked and prayed together: St Joseph’s Church, Victory Fellowship, the Community church, the Methodist Church and St John’s. We finished at St John ‘s for hot cross buns, chats and coffee, followed by a service of reflection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Confirmation Service 2022<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bishop Gavin came to confirm Michael and Christopher Welsh and Luke Monkhouse. Two other candidates had to miss the service due to Covid. It was a joyous occasion, and Bishop Gavin commented afterwards how the atmosphere was one of a church family supporting each other. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
